Singer from Azerbaijan wins Turkvizion song contest
Azerbaijani singer, Farid Hasanov, won the music contest Turkvizion, which took place on Saturday in Eskisehir (Turkey.) He won 210 votes of the jury.
Turkvizion has been conceived as an analogue of the famous Eurovision Song Contest with participation of the representatives of the Turkic nationalities from around the world. The contest is held for the first time.
The competition brought together representatives from 24 countries , as well as national Turkic minority of non-Turkic countries.
The next Turkvizion song contest will be held in 2014 in Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, to which will go the status of the cultural capital of the Turkic world. -02D-

Ahmet Güneştekin answered questions from Turan Information Agency a few days after the opening of his solo exhibition, Lost Alphabet, held in the 8,000-square-meter indoor halls of the Feshane Cultural Center, managed by the Istanbul Municipality. The exhibition, inaugurated by Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, will remain open until July 20.
