The book of Leyla and Arif Yunus published in Poland
Baku / 10.29.18 / Turan: In the Polish city of Wroclaw, the KEW publishing house published a book in Russian: "From the Soviet camp to an Azerbaijani prison" by well-known civic activists Leyla and Arif Yunus. The book volume of 496 pages consists of two parts. The author of the first part of the "Notes of the Prisoner of the MNS Solitary Cell" is Arif Yunus. It sets forth memories of 16 months in a solitary confinement cell of the MNS pre-trial detention center, torture and other problems that political prisoners face. The author describes the detention center of the former MNS and describes the morals that prevailed there.
The second part was written by Leyla Yunus, where she talks about what happened in Azerbaijan on the eve of the fall of the USSR and in the first years of independence, how Heydar Aliyev came to power and what policy he pursued and what policy his successor Ilham Aliyev is pursues now.
She also talks about political prisoners in Azerbaijan. The presentation of the book was held in Wroclaw.

The book is also translated into German and published by the International PEN Club.
On November 8 in Germany in the town of Esslingen will open the book festival, which will open will Leila and Arif Yunus. They will talk about their book to the German public.
On November 15 in Vienna, the International PEN Club will organize a special presentation of the book with the participation of the media and the public.
The book is currently being translated into English and presentations are scheduled in London and Brussels. The publication of the book of Leyla and Arif Yunus is also planned in French and Dutch.

Ahmet Güneştekin answered questions from Turan Information Agency a few days after the opening of his solo exhibition, Lost Alphabet, held in the 8,000-square-meter indoor halls of the Feshane Cultural Center, managed by the Istanbul Municipality. The exhibition, inaugurated by Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, will remain open until July 20.
