Attention to payments of industrial injuries
BAKU/12.02.14/Turan : Insurance Companies of Azerbaijan in January collected 1,302,730 manat on compulsory insurance and disability of individuals from accidents and occupational diseases . It's almost a third ( 31.1% ) more than in January last year , when their account was 897,550 manats.
According to the information of the State Insurance Supervision Service of the Ministry of Finance AR , payments on this type of insurance amounted to 184,120 manats (growth of 3.39 times) , - better than one season earlier.
While still payout and premium ratio is 14.1% that is, companies are hoarding capital exclusively, ignoring the interests of the victims. The reason is in the conclusion of corporate contracts, excluding the individual characteristics of the insured. There is also the factor of understating the level of production workers and injuries. According to the inspection of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, in 2013 in the whole country were recorded 155 accidents at work (71 killed and 120 injured people). However, according to unofficial data on the transport, construction and mining sectors of the economy such cases are much more. Managers prefer to negotiate with the affected or their families.
Services in Azerbaijan in this type of insurance are provided by three insurance companies - Pasha Hayat Sigorta, Ateshgah Hayat Sigorta and Qala Hayat Sigorta. - 17D-

Data on Azerbaijan's oil exports for January-October 2024 reveals a significant drop in both volume and value compared to the same period last year, highlighting the challenges facing the oil-dependent economy. The country exported 495,484.05 tons of oil products worth $309.02 million, a decrease of 40.3% in value and 40.7% in volume compared to 2023, when exports totaled 925,225.07 tons worth $572.21 million.
