Azerbaijan has invited Iran to open another border checkpoint

To deepen trade ties between the two countries need to accelerate the recovery of the checkpoint Aslandyuz-Goradiz, said the chairman of the State Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev held April 19 meeting with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohsen Pak Ayin.

According to the press service of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, the Iranian diplomat on behalf of the government of this country's support for the implementation of this idea, which would, in his words, the expansion of cross-border trade. In turn, it is proposed to continue the bilateral meeting between representatives of the two countries' customs agencies at border checkpoints and conduct training for customs officials of both countries. The objective is to increase the understanding of the customs legislation of the partner side, which will serve to improve the passage of people and goods through the checkpoint. The Iranian ambassador invited Aydin Aliyev to Iran on behalf of the Head of the Customs Administration of Iran Atsdyn Memarnedzhad.

Note that the length of the state border between Azerbaijan and Iran is 432 km. Currently the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan has three customs offices and the State Customs Committee of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has three customs offices on the border with Iran. - 08D-
