Competition of Centre of Economic Studies starts
The Centre of Economic Studies is interested in investigation of problem of natural and anthropogenic factors of degradation of lands and public control in his field.
The Centre has organized the competition for the best journalist work through the financial assistance of the Baku OSCE Office. The goal of the competition is to preserve fertility of lands, take measures to prevent erosion, waterlogged grounds, salinity, other factors of degradation and help people to use technologies of land preservation. Galib Togrul, Executive Director of the Centre, said the problem is urgent and the society needs to be aware of it.
The works, which will be submitted for the contest, should cover all problems. The article should show activities of state and public organizations and give assessment to the done work. The article should be based on reality of one of the regions of the country.
The pretenders should submit only one article to the competition. The pretenders should write at the end of the article “the article is submitted for participation at the competition of the Centre through financial assistance of the Baku OSCE Office entitled “Natural and Anthropogenic Factors of Degradation of Lands: Awareness and Public Control.”
The works must be published in local media, including virtual media, from July 1 to October 1, 2012 in Azerbaijani or Russian languages. The article should not exceed 11,000 signs with Times New Roman font. The deadline for submission is October 5, 2012 and the article could be emailed to office@erc.az.
The criteria of evaluation are the writers’ skills, level of awareness, language and originality of the subject.
The first prize winner will get 300 AZN, second prize winner – 250 AZN and third prize winner – 150 AZN. The prize winners will obtain diplomas of the Centre.
