Platform No 10 to be repaired ahead of time, says Azneft administration
The works to eliminate aftermath of the accident on the platform No 10 on the offshore field Guneshli that burnt down in December 2015 are going ahead of schedule, reported SOCAR.
Last Friday Azneft General Director Dashgun Iskandarov visited the platform No 10 to check on the repair works.
Two modules and two lifting cranes NAK will be installed on the platform soon and operation of the platform will be outlines. Iskandarov said that it is important to complete repair works in time and has given some instructions.
Azneft administration has checked condition of new oil pumps installed on the offshore platform No 3.
Iskandarov added that repair works on the platform No 3 must be accelerated. He has also instructed to upgrade the shafts of the wells and repair them as soon as possible.
The offshore stationary platform No 10 on Guneshli field caught fire on December 4, 2015 because of the gas line failure.
SOCAR hopes to repair the platform No 10 and put the wells into operation till the end of 2016.
Daily production rate of the platform was 1.3 mcm of gas and 1,000 tons of oil.—0—
