Six Months Later, Law will Come into Effect on Regulation of Inspections in Entrepreneurship
The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed on August 28 decree on the application of the law of Azerbaijan Republic "On regulation of inspections in the field of business and protect the interests of entrepreneurs."
The law defines the goals and principles of inspections in the field of entrepreneurship, the rights and powers of inspection bodies and their officials, the requirements relating to the protection of the rights and interests of entrepreneurs.
The decree of the President instructed the Cabinet to prepare a period of three months on determining penalties for violations of the law. The government should give consideration for the President proposals for the definition of a particular threat, and much damage to human life or health, the environment and property interests of the state. It will also revise the criteria for small, medium and large businesses.
The law provides for the introduction of a unified database of questions before the audited entity.
The Cabinet of Ministers within two months must define inspection bodies and their control. Upon approval of the government is to list in two months to approve the criteria for determining risk groups for each area of control.
The Ministries of Justice and Economic Development should at least two times a year arrange training of inspection bodies on matters arising from the Act. During the year, these ministries will hold monthly information campaign for entrepreneurs in the media.
