State Statistics Committee Does Not Keep Records of Bankrupt Privateers
Azerbaijan recorded 519 860 entrepreneurs with the status of an individual (14.3%) by January 1, 2015.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the most popular (191 610) activity is wholesale and retail trade, and repair of cars and household goods. In agriculture employed are 84 237 individual businessmen, in transport and storage facilities (logistics) - 70 028. A very impressive figure (69 230) is assigned to "other services" and processing industry employs 14,559 people.
Financial and insurance activities at the beginning of this year involved 1,384 individuals, real estate transactions - 9 965, administrative and support services - 2 536, construction - 4 478, tourist accommodation and catering - 30 207, wellness and leisure activities - 6 708.
In Baku, there are registered 53.4% of legal entities (50 458 from 94 563) and 34.3% of individuals (178 242 from 519 860). --17D-

According to official statistics from Azerbaijan, bilateral trade in 2023 reached 3.1 billion US dollars. In just the first ten months of 2024, trade volume increased by 17.1% year-on-year, reaching 3.02 billion US dollars, putting the annual trade figure on track to hit a record high.
