The average monthly wage in separate fields unveiled for the first time
The Tax Ministry unveiled the average monthly wages in about 30 areas of manufacturing , construction and social activities in the private sector . Most of all , as expected , workers earn in banking and insurance, as well as senior staff in the metallurgical industry.
The Taxes Ministry report was drawn up in conformity with one of the orders of the Head of State and covers the period from January to September this year. The report contains data on 11 regions of the country , including major cities (Baku , Sumgait, Ganja, Mingechevir, etc.).
The management of metallurgical enterprises in Baku in September received 2,433 manat a month, which is 3.7 % more than in January this year. Personnel involved in the melting of metal is allocated 4.7 times less - 517 manat. The directorial staff of the Sumgayit metallurgical plant (JSC Azerboru) received AZN 1,974 in September, while staff of the same kind in Ganja (Aluminium Smelter Company Det.Al Limited) received 1,345 manat. Metal smelting workers in these cities are paid 419.5 and 285.7 manat per month, respectively.
Chairmen of boards of financial institutions in Baku received 2,777 AZN in September. Banks and other credit institutions also paid well to programmers - 2,036 manat per month. In insurance companies, the directorial staff received 2,677 manat, and programmers received 1,556 manat.
In the private communication enterprises in Baku the management received 1,787 manat, and the telecom operators received 671 manat.
Strong contrast in wages has formed in stone quarries , etc. in Baku. Here the directors receive an average of 1,467 manat, and the workers only get 165 manat. The situation with wages in this area compared to January has not changed. Compared to them, a paradox exists in meat processing: the directors of these companies receive monthly 277 manat and the butchers get 545 manats. At the same factories for the production of dairy products in Baku the directors receive an average of 676 manat, and the average staff receives about twice less.
Analysis of the figures shows that there is a stark contrast in payment between Baku and the regions. If the Baku workers in various occupations in the construction sector receive 600-900 manat, in Ganja, for example, it is two times lower. - 08D -
