The securities market decreased by 37%
In January-August this year, the volume of the securities market in Azerbaijan amounted to 4 billion 819 million manats , which is 37 % less than in the comparable period of 2012. The decline in the market was due to the deterioration in the government securities segment.
In the first eight months of this year turnover rate of the government debt securities (Treasury bonds and notes of the Central Bank) decreased by 47 % and reached 481 transactions 3 billion 773.3 million manat. In this case, 9 % of the market for government securities accounted for the primary and secondary treatment. The remaining 91% (3,434 million manat ) was REPO / counter - REPO transaction.
In the corporate sector recorded a positive trend.
The volume of placement of shares by 263 (plus 3.9 times) operations amounted to 293.2 million manat, which is 2.7 times higher than the figure for the same period in 2012 . In the secondary market were made over 3 million transactions, the volume of which amounted to 122.5 million manat. It is 2.6 times more than in January-August 2012.
Corporate bond turnover for the first eight months of this year amounted to 630 million manat, or 2.3 times more than in the comparable period of 2012. The volume of initial public offering of corporate bonds accounted for 64 deals of AZN 163.3 million and 5 transactions - more than $ 67 million. The secondary corporate bond turnover rose by 63 % to 399.5 million manat. - 08D -
