Till end of 2013 Russia hopes to find agreement with Kazakhstan on oil deliveries
Until the end of this year Russia hopes to find an agreement with Kazakhstan on the oil deliveries, Russian Vice Premier Arkadii Dvorkovich told journalists.
“We would like to find an agreement until the end of the year. We need certainty, it is important for the budget. The companies, including Rosneft, which have offered some options, need certainty as well, because it involves a lot of money,” Dvorkovich said.
“The interests of Russia and Kazakhstan are the subject of talks. We have budget interests and the interests related to balance of oil and oil products,” said Dvorkovich.
In November Russia and Kazakhstan signed the preliminary agreement on transportation of oil via Kazakhstan and guarantees of transit.
Rosneft President Igor Sechin said that according to the agreement with Kazakhstan, the company plans to pump 7 million tons of oil a year since 2014 and it will pay $2.3-2.5 billion to the budget if oil is exported to China via Kazakhstan.—0—
