America's Golden Age begins - Donald Trump

Inaugurated US Presidency Donald Trump made a lot of high-profile statements and made a lot of promises in his half-hour speech.

Here are the main talking points from his speech:

"America's Golden Age begins right now.

Today I will sign a series of major executive orders:

First, I will declare a state of emergency on our southern borders. All illegal crossings will stop immediately, and we will begin the process of deporting millions of illegal migrants and reinstate our "Stay in Mexico" policy.

I will send American soldiers to our southern border to defend against invasion.

Drug cartels will be declared terrorist organisations.

I will declare a state of energy emergency. We will drill. We have oil and gas reserves and will sell them all over the world.

We will cancel the new Green Deal and repeal the electric car mandate, thus saving jobs in the auto industry.

We will impose tariffs and taxes on foreign goods. We will create an External Revenue Service for this purpose.

We will immediately abolish all government censorship to bring free speech back to America.

There are only two genders, male and female.

The Gulf of Mexico will be renamed the Gulf of America.

We will take back the Panama Canal, for Panama has violated the terms of the agreement and today Chinese ships have more rights in that canal than American ships.

The American flag will be planted on Mars.

We are a great nation and no one can threaten us anymore.
