Authorities Betrayed Values and Ideas of Rasulzadeh - Opposition
The Musavat party, the National Council, and then the advocates of the Classic Popular Front Party in turn held a rally today at the monument to the founder of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic Mammadamin Rasulzadeh in the Novkhani settlement.
Remembering merits of the founders of the first democratic republic in the East, the rally participants blamed the current government for oblivion of Rasulzadeh’s ideas, departure from the norms of democracy and justice, exploitation of national wealth and corruption.
Speakers at the rally noted that, calling itself democratic, the current government is inherently authoritarian. Their goals and objectives are to enrich themselves under the guise of democratic slogans.
They said the current regime is a dark spot in the history of Azerbaijan. It is a dark, but temporary spot that will be washed away. The opposition will return Azerbaijan to the values of Mammadamin Rasulzadeh and these values will remain for a long time, said the leader of PFPA Ali Kerimli.
In general, the three rallies of the opposition were attended by several thousand people. The rallies were held without incident. -02B-
