Azerbaijani and Georgian experts will examine uncoordinated sections of the border
Baku / 24.05.19 / Turan: The 12th meeting of the Commissions on delimitation and demarcation of state borders between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Georgia was held in Baku on May 23-24. The delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister, Special Representative of the President of the country on border issues and the Caspian Sea, Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov. The Georgian side at the talks was headed by Lasha Darsalia, Deputy Foreign Minister, and Special Representative of the Government of Georgia on border issues.
The meeting was also attended by experts and representatives of the relevant state bodies of both countries, the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said. The issues of passing the state borderline were considered and a detailed discussion of all uncoordinated sections took place. Following the meeting, the Parties agreed to conduct a joint inspection of uncoordinated sections of the state border at the expert level on site. The Parties also agreed to study and evaluate the relevant legal documents and cartographic materials related to determining the passage of the state borderline.
The parties agreed to hold a regular meeting of the Commissions in Tbilisi. The date will be agreed through diplomatic channels. -06D--
