Doctrine Center has presented its recommendations on the fight against terror
The role of civil society in the fight against terror and recommendations to the authorities was the topic of today's presentation of the research center Doctrine.
Attention of journalists was given to a four-page report analyzes the situation in the legislation, the assessment of government policies in this area. As a major problem in this area are named: the lack of information about the government's strategy in the fight against terror;
restriction of the rights and freedoms under the guise of fighting terror, emptiness in the legislation in the fight against terrorism, lack of educational measures in the fight against terror.
The document refers to a positive foreign experience in the issue of participation of civil society in the fight against terror. However, in Azerbaijan this experience is not used.
In this regard, the authorities made the following recommendations: to prepare a special state program on combating terrorism, with the participation of civil society and media to strengthen the propaganda in the community about the need for active support of ordinary citizens of state agencies in the fight against terror, the refusal of agencies to suppress human rights and freedoms under the guise of fighting terror. -05D-

On November 13, representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Afghan Taliban held talks in Baku as part of the COP29 conference. According to a report by Turan correspondent, the discussions took place behind closed doors and lasted for over an hour. No statements were made to the press following the meeting. Furthermore, conference security prevented journalists from asking questions to the meeting participants.

She had been accredited in the "Green Zone" as a civil rights activist. From the moment she entered the conference area, a young man began to follow her.
