Ilham Aliyev receives EU and UN Special Representatives
Yesterday the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the EU Special Representative for South Caucasus Philippe Lefort. As the website of the President said, at the meeting they exchanged views on issues related to the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and EU, the current state of negotiations on the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
On the same day, the President received the Special Representative of UN Secretary General Jan Kubis. The guest expressed his satisfaction with the activities of Azerbaijan for the UN in recent years and the level of cooperation with Afghanistan in the framework of the UN.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that after the withdrawal of the international peacekeeping force in Afghanistan, Azerbaijan will play a significant role in promoting stability and economic development in the region.
On February 5, Aliyev received a delegation led by the chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bozo Lubitsch. -06D-

According to a report by Turan correspondent, the discussions took place behind closed doors and lasted for over an hour. No statements were made to the press following the meeting. Furthermore, conference security prevented journalists from asking questions to the meeting participants.
