Ilham Aliyev spoke in defense of human rights in the West
On Friday in the Palace "Buta" there was a solemn ceremony dedicated to the 20th anniversary of New Azerbaijan Party. The ceremony was made by the head of state and NAP leader Ilham Aliyev
From this statement it follows that all that is in the country today would be impossible without the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the ruling party.
Referring to the country's foreign policy, Aliyev made it clear that it would invest in foreign countries. At the same time, he made it clear that in return expected the support of the Karabakh issue. "Three countries have officially recognized the Khojaly genocide as an act of genocide. We must strive to ensure that the maximum number of foreign countries have recognized the Khojaly genocide as an act of genocide," he said.
Returning to his achievements, Aliyev blamed developed countries for human rights violations.
"We see, in any difficult situation, some developed countries. Every day we see on television going in these countries processes riots. To the streets, tens of thousands of demonstrators, and express their anger.
True, they are very rude and brutally beaten and repressed. Of course, this can not be tolerated. We call on developed countries to be more cautious in this matter. People take to the streets to protest. But unacceptable that is what they were beaten with clubs, were gassed. These are actions that are contrary to democratic norms. Seeing this in countries that call themselves democracies, the cradle of democracy, we are really surprised. Azerbaijan in this regard is the example. As in all other areas, it could be a model in this area. In Azerbaijan, all of these issues are a civilized, cultured," said Aliyev.
Then he compared the economic performance of the West and Azerbaijan and it turned out that Azerbaijan is one of the top ten developed countries.
Returning to the theme of freedom and democracy, Aliyev accused "certain forces" of provocation against Azerbaijan during the recent International Internet Forum. "There were also those who came to our country to commit provocations. But their provocative mission was disclosed." "We have created an open society. We guarantee all freedoms. Today in Azerbaijan the number of Internet users has reached 65 percent of the population, we are paving the internet lines in each village. In that case, what kind of stifling freedom of speech is all about?! It's a lie and slander. Those who spread the slander, especially people in high posts should be ashamed," said Aliyev.
As the main enemies of Azerbaijan he described the Armenian lobby and Islamophobic forces that want to represent Azerbaijan, as a mass of illiterate Muslims.
Next Aliyev shared the results of his "in-depth analysis, which he led for several years"
"I have here a fairly ample opportunity to analyze - international contacts, meetings, a variety of information, etc. That is, as they say, my conscious choice and opinion. Our society is not particularly responsive to such steps. Let it be from three to five centers, we will still go our own way and do what we think is right," Aliyev shared his secrets.
"Our goal is to become a developed country!" With this phrase Aliyev finished his speech, which really reminded of his father's slogan - Long Live Communism! -02D-
