Jamil Hasanli: Arrest of Anar Mammadli - not the last
The concept of " security" for the Azerbaijani authorities means strangling the opposition and civil society. About it on his Facebook page wrote the chairman of the National Council Jamil Hasanli, commenting on the recent arrests in Azerbaijan.
According to him, in most regions of the country there are trials of political prisoners. The authorities usurped power on the October 9 election results, and now they began to arrest those who denounced them.
Anar Mammadli's arrest is not the last of the arrests that began early in the year. They will continue until these authorities hold the power. To protect the rights of Anar Mammadli is the task of every decent man, writes Hasanli .
* The head of the Election Monitoring and Democracy Training Center, Anar Mammadli was arrested Dec. 16 for 3 months. The prosecutor's office accuses Mammadli and his deputy Bashir Suleymanli of illegal business, tax evasion and abuse of power to influence the outcome of elections. -03B04-
