Pashinyan tries to put pressures on Moscow and calls for peacekeepers from other countries to be sent to Karabakh
Baku/29.12.22/Turan: Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has called on the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh to provide a clear explanation of the situation in the Lachin corridor. He said this at the government session on December 29.
"Russia has undertaken specific commitments to the people of Nagorno-Karabakh. The Russian Federation should explain what its assessment of the situation is, what is the plan and roadmap for restoring movement along the corridor.
This is a question to which societies in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh are waiting for an answer from Russia, which is a permanent member of the UN Security Council," Pashinyan said.
If for objective or subjective reasons Russia cannot ensure security and stability in Nagorno Karabakh, it should initiate a debate in the UN Security Council with a view to obtaining a UN mandate for a peacekeeping contingent or sending an additional multinational peacekeeping contingent to Nagorno Karabakh. -02D-
