SOCAR rejects allegations of involvement in the arrest of Mubariz Mansimov
Baku/18.03.20/Turan: State Oil Company of Azerbaijan SOCAR was not involved in the arrest in Turkey of the owner of Palmali transport company Mubariz Mansimov.
SOCAR’s statement on the matter said that Mansimov was arrested by Turkish law enforcement agencies and this has nothing to do with the upcoming SOCAR arbitration courts against Mansimov in the London and Dubai courts.
The delay of the SOCAR arbitration courts against Palmali started in 2018 is not in the interests of SOCAR, because it negatively affects the financial balance of the company, the statement said.
SOCAR admits that it previously had a business cooperation with Palmali, however, the failure of Mansimov to fulfill its obligations under the agreements caused three lawsuits by SOCAR against Palmali. During this period, Mansimov’s company, under various pretexts, delays the conduct of these arbitration courts, SOCAR said in a statement.
* Earlier Mubariz Mansimov has repeatedly accused SOCAR President Rovgan Abdullayev and his nephew Anar Aliyev. According to Mansimov, the company's management finances FETO - Fetullah Gulen terrorist organization accused of attempting a military coup in Turkey.
Mansimov also claimed that Rovnag Abdullayev, through a subsidiary of Heritage General Trading, is stealing public funds belonging to SOCAR. -02D
