The military prosecutor assesses events beyond his competence
Baku / 26.07.18 / Turan: Military prosecutor Khanlar Veliyev called the events in Ganja "bloody terror", where his brother, Elmar Veliyev, the head of the city, and Gasym Ashbazov, his bodyguard, were severely wounded on July 3, and on the 10th day two police officers were killed.
Speaking on July 26 at an operational meeting in the military prosecutor's office, Veliyev said that these crimes were committed by "special services of foreign states together with the radical opposition and religious extremist organizations." According to Veliyev, they sought to undermine stability in the country.
He also stated that Azerbaijanis, who are hostile to Azerbaijan, are involved in these events. The purpose of these crimes was the seizure of power in the country and the forcible change of the constitutional system, violation of the territorial integrity of the country, continued H.Veliyev. At the same time, he did not give any evidence of what was said.
Further, he reported that the military prosecutor's office disclosed 99.3% of the crimes investigated in the first half of the year. According to him, during the reporting period, serious crimes were reduced by 3.6% in the army, serious crimes were reduced by 14.5%, war crimes were not increased by 19% and desertions were 50%.
In the first half of the year, an investigation into 70 persons in 57 criminal cases related to corruption and bribery was completed. -16D06-
