Khadija Ismailova : Prosecutor"s Office aggressively seeks source of document on recruitment of opposition member by MNS

The investigative journalist Khadija Ismayilova in an interview with Objective TV (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeV58WoTYcA&feature=c4-overview&list=UU6MgY_9o5RlcDjtdmraXV7g) reported that she is working on three new investigations of high-ranking government officials. These materials are from foreign editors and will soon be distributed.

As you know, the journalist distributed information on Facebook on attracting members of the opposition to cooperation with the Secret Service. After that a criminal case was filed under Article 284.2 (divulging state secrets) .

"Finally we were able to see the decision to institute the criminal proceedings. This decision was signed by the head of the Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General for Serious Crimes Eldar Akhmedov. The decision does not specify, for whatever reason they selected such a hard article. They did not specify either whether the document I released is actually a real document," Ismayilova said.

According to her, if the document she circulated is in fact real, it turns out that the MNS deliberately filmed the sex scenes of an ordinary opposition member and blackmailed him to enlist as an agent.

"He was appointed a salary for which he had to sow provocation in the ranks of the opposition parties and to inform the secret services," said the journalist.

She also expressed bewilderment about the criminal case under aggravated circumstances. "I asked the investigation to say whether they actually confirm the authenticity of the document. However, my question was not answered," said Ismayilova.

The investigation asked the journalist, who gave her the document and for what purpose. "This information came to me from a former employee of the MNS. I, in accordance with the law "On Mass Media," cannot reveal my source. Sometimes the tone of the investigator went beyond perseverance. He insisted that I reveal the name of the person that passed me the document. It is possible that the source of this information is monitoring the events. If he deems it necessary, he will call himself, or charge me to do it," said Khadija Ismayilova.

According to her, during the interrogation she was also asked specific questions. "I was asked questions in connection with my computer that has a personal character. Why they are interested in my computer, I cannot understand," said the journalist .

Everyone knows that only the officials keeping state secrets are liable.for their dissemination. The second issue is that I must inform the investigation about my movements, and they also warned me not to disclose the investigative secrecy. I signed up to it, but verbally noticed that they should not trust me any investigative secrets, because I do not have to store them," said Ismayilova.

She said that she was often reminded of the possible arrest. "I was told that for refusal to give information I will be arrested for 6 months.

She called frivolous the information on her transfer of a list of opposition people working for MNS to representatives of the U.S. Senate. "First of all, where could I get this information? Secondly, if I had that information , I would give it to interested citizens of Azerbaijan," said the journalist.

She tried to draw the attention of the prosecutor's office to the facts of corruption that she investigated in connection with the activities of high-ranking government officials and members of their families and encouraged them to investigate these things. She expressed her willingness to investigate these cases of corruption, promising to name the sources of these facts and documents, assuring the investigation of their authenticity.

Khadija Ismayilova is concerned about the lack of results in the criminal case of interference in her personal life in 2012. -03B04-
