At the trial in the case of AMAY "victims" do not consider themselves as such
The trial in the case of the head of the group of companies «AMAY» Abdulla Abdullayev and five other people continued today in the Baku Serious Crimes Court.
The meeting heard the testimony of a group of people who said they do not consider themselves victims. All of them expressed their protest against the fact that the state commission did not accepted the 16-storey residential building in Binagadi district of the capital built for them. Because of this communication and repairs were not conducted.
Witnesses said that a firm which built "Khudaferin" (included in the structure AMAY), did not require additional funds from the owners of apartments. For this reason, they demanded that their names were removed from the list of victims.
One of these "victims", Asli Hasanova, was not questioned at all during the investigation. This caused an outcry of protection. The lawyers demanded that this fact was reflected in the minutes of the meeting.
Defendant Abdulla Abdullayev said residential building has not been put into operation because the General Directorate for Combating Corruption inappropriately interfere in the business.
The representative of the construction company "Khudaferin" said the prices of apartments in this building have been raised, despite the fact that much time passed since it was built. Then the representative of "Texnikabank" Ruslan Umidov said that the bank has issued loans to 34 firms. According to him, AMAY was not among them. The next meeting will be held on April 6 at 10:00.
Known businessman Abdullah Abdullayev and five other people are accused of fraud, abuse of office, money laundering. None of the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges against them. -05C04-
