In the Yasamal district the IDPs do not allow the installation of meters
On Thursday, February 2, the IDP from Karabakh living in the Yasamal district of Baku did not allow the employees of "Azərqaz" and "Azərışıq" the installation of gas and electricity meters.
Employees of both companies were not able to carry out works in the building in Zahid Khalilov, 85, House14, and faced the resistance of the people.
The police prevented the self-immolation of one of the residents of the house. Refugees began to curse the State Committee on Refugees, accusing it of non-fulfillment of promises on permanent housing.
"We live in intolerable conditions, in a studio apartment live two families. People shared a bathroom and kitchen. How can you determine who and how much use gas and electricity? We want only one – return our lands, or provide housing," they said. In this connection installation of meters has been suspended.
Installation of meters is carried out in accordance with order of the President of Azerbaijan on January 23, 2017 "On establishing the unified monthly benefit for internally displaced persons and persons equated to them".
Previously, this category of persons was released from the payment for gas, water, electricity. Now, according to, the order, they should pay for the services like all citizens of the country. At the same time they will be given a monthly allowance in the amount of 36 manat.
Today, the State Committee for refugees and internally displaced people rushed to make a statement, which indicated the refugees support the president's decision: "Until now, the State Committee for Refugees received more than 300 such applications from 10 occupied areas. As an example, we present one appeal from each area," said the report of the State Committee for Refugees.—0--
