Official newspapers write about Ilham Aliyev’s meeting with the Minister of Education of Russia.

Azadlig publishes the responses of international experts on the processes in the Ministry of National Security, which is regarded as a split in Aliyev’s team.
The columnist, continuing the theme of crime in the Ministry of National Security, talks about the possibility of disclosing the murder of the journalist Elmar Huseynov in 2005. As you know, the organization of the murder is charged with the MNS General Akif Chovdarov, now arrested.

The newspaper writes about the identification of large sums of currency and gold in the office of the former head of the administration of the Ministry of Communication Vidadi Zeynalov.

On New Year's Eve many imprisoned politicians will be pardoned, according to the newspaper.  According to the human rights activist Novella Jafaroglu, the list of candidates to pardon includes 27 prisoners.
The paper argues that further arrests of high-ranking officials are expected. Several Generals of the Ministry of National Security will be deprived of their ranks.
The real estate market this year fell by 26% and apartment prices continue to fall.
