The presence of an enabling business environment in Azerbaijan, the causes of landslides, widespread depression, and violence against women are the leading topics of today's press.
The Azerbaijan newspaper has published an article under the high-sounding title Azerbaijan among Top Five Countries in World. It reports the World Bank report Doing Business 2017 on the assessment of the business environment in the world.
The report highly appreciated the business conditions in Azerbaijan, says the newspaper.
The website Azadliq.info publishes an article about frequent landslides. The author believes, if trees were not cut down, the landslide danger would be less. In the village Urwa of Gusar residents claim that cutting down trees has led to landslides.
Another cause of landslides can be recently frequent heavy rains. Eight years ago, the neighboring village Kanarchay was relocated due to landslides.
Echo has published an article entitled Most Common Disease in Azerbaijan - Depression. As the Russian experts say, in our country the citizens most commonly complain of depression to psychiatrists. In Azerbaijan, as well as around the world, cases of depression are two times more common among women. The reason is that women are more sensitive and emotional. They are more exposed to violence. For every 100 thousand people there are five suicides.
Bizim Yol also writes about violence against women and explores the relevant official statistics. According to a survey conducted by the United Nations Population Fund and the State Committee for Family, Women and Children, 24% of women 15 years of age are exposed to various forms of violence. The most common it is in Absheron and Lankaran. -0 ---
