The upcoming visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Azerbaijan, the causes of the accident at Mingachevir Thermal Power Plant, and "credit adventures" of SOCAR are the leading topics of today's press.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes that Erdogan makes his first visit to Azerbaijan after being elected President of Turkey. The author calls this an important political tradition and recalls that the Presidents of both countries make such mutual visits immediately after their election. And as proof of this cooperation the author writes about joint transnational projects implemented by both states.
The website Musavat. com discusses with the head of the Center for International Strategic Studies Eldar Namazov the causes of the accident at the Mingachevir thermal power station and its military, national and energy aspects. The political scientist recalled the two-year-old Armenians' promise to destabilize the situation at Mingachevir Thermal Power Plant, thereby paralyzing the country. This is not just an accident, but a national security issue, the expert says. And repeated fires at the thermal power station demonstrated an incorrectly organized work.
The newspaper Novoye Vremya in the article titled "What's going on in SOCAR?" writes about the allocation of financial means for SOCAR. This issue worries parliament deputies, since this structure has always been self-sufficient, not counting, of course, the crisis period. However, now the prices have completely stabilized and established themselves at a very high level. But subsidies to the oil company from the state budget continue. This happens against the backdrop of scanty grants of education, medicine and public services. Meanwhile, SOCAR, among other things, is driving itself into credit bondage. There was a time when SOCAR itself invested in many projects, including abroad. "What happens to the company now, since it expects help from the state and from international financial institutions?" the newspaper wonders. --0-----

Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
