SOCAR’s leadership very strangly comment on reports of arrests of responsible people in Turkey with the participation of SOCAR-Petkim and SOCAR-Türkiye.
"The arrest of Saadettina Korkut, Ilgar Mehmetoglu, Yasin Ataka has nothing to do with the work of SOCAR and Petkim in Turkey. This is a legal procedure, to implement the relevant authorities of Turkey, SOCAR and its support," stated the official comment of SOCAR to the inquiry of Turan agency.
At the same time SOCAR noted that Petkim and other enterprises of in Turkey continue to work as usual, all the projects are implemented according to the schedule.
Thus, SOCAR, apparently, considers it normal that in the criminal case against the "terrorist organization Fetullaha Gulen" were arrested 13 employees of SOCAR and Petkim, and another 12 people are under house arrest.
Among those arrested were a former executive director of Petkim Petrokimya Holding A.Ş. Saadettin Korkut, as well as Azerbaijanis - Deputy Director General of SOCAR-Türkiye Ilgar Mehmetoglu, head of human resources department Ragif Faradjev, and others. -06D-.
