The editor of the newspaper "Azerbaijan" joins the chorus of critics of the US
The official and pro-government press does not stop the publication of anti-Western material, accusing the West of plotting a coup in Azerbaijan. These media widely reported on April 30, organized a round table with the participation of MPs, experts and the media editors where America was named almost the main enemy of Azerbaijan. Today, the editor of the state newspaper "Azerbaijan", MP Bakhtiyar Sadigov in his edition published a long Article entitled "The anti-Azerbaijan network: familiar scenario, familiar style." Sadigov speaks about double standards of the West and a bad attitude of the West to the rest of the world. "Except the Americans and Europeans, nobody can be happy. True democracy is possible only in the US and Europe! Statesmen of the United States and Europe are clean, the remaining inhabitants of the planet are involved in the mud! " ironically said the editor. West seeks to seize rishes of the rest of the world, and those who resist it expected the "Arab Spring" and "color revolutions." Then Sadigov continued allegations that anti-Azerbaijani campaign is coordinated by the Office of the US Secretary of State John Kerry. Further, he "remembered" that Kerry was one of the initiiiators of the 907 amendments to the anti-Azerbaijani Freedom Support Act.
The editor believes that the US grants are directed to Azerbaijan to the "fifth column", that is, Internet resources, media and NGOs. "If you look more attentively, in the countries of the "Arab Spring" the most active destructive forces were just on the Internet and in the press,"- concluded Sadigov. Despite the fact that the "fifth column" violate laws and commit crimes, the United States supports them. According to the plan of Kerry, Azerbaijan wants to return the country to the 90s, into chaos, rallies, and the change of power, Sadigov said. The US Embassy earlier called such accusations unfounded and unfair.
The US State Department was even more blunt in assessments, recalling that Washington has always supported the independence of Azerbaijan, and in fact always supported at difficult time.-06D-
