The lawyer calls on to justify the PPFA activist Elvina Abdullazadeh
At the trial in the Baku serious Crimes in the case of a member of the Youth Committee of PPFA Elvin Abdullayev (Abdullazadeh), accused of drug trafficking, now concluding word said his lawyer Ali Mehdiyev.
He asked the court to acquit the young man. According to the attorney, the preliminary investigation was conducted with gross violations of the law. Abdullazadeh was searched in the Police Office eight hours after detention. At the same time immediately after his arrest, he was not provided with a lawyer, the procedure of inquiry was held before the search.
The same witness has been involved at least in three lawsuits, which gives reason to doubt his impartiality. Since he Abdullazadeh was not ready for action, the trial was adjourned on June 1 , at 12:30.
Zulfiya Abdullayeva, mother of Abdullazadeh, told Turan, that her son was being persecuted for political reasons. She also noted that in prison her son is subjected to physical pressure.
* E.Abdullazade is charged under the Article 234.4.3 (large-scale drug trafficking.) However, the true reason for the persecution of activists, according to PPFA, is his active promotion of democratic ideas among students, and criticism of the policies of the government.-06B-
