Two Schoolgirls Poisoned by Gas of Unknown Origin

The Baku ambulance and emergency services station received a call about mass poisoning of students at school N 109 in the Nizami district of Baku and sent emergency units to the school.  Emergency services has not confirmed reports of an explosion.

Doctors examined about 15 children who became ill. However, most of them suffered from panic stress, the doctors told Turan.

At the same time, two schoolgirls who inhaled gas poisonous of unknown origin were taken to the Clinical Center of the city.

The victims were placed in the Toxicology Department of the Clinical Center.

"One of them has a slight poisoning and the second one's condition is characterized as moderate. Doctors have not yet identified the causes of the poisoning. The final determination will be made by experts from the poison control center," said an official of the toxicology department of the City Clinical Center.

According to the official, the victims do not have symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning. There is no threat to the life of the patients. One of them is likely to be discharged today, said the same source. -06B-
