Kicked off Baku International Jazz Festival
23 October, the International Mugam Center hosted the opening ceremony of the International Jazz Festival, which runs until November 2. The festival is arranged by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as well as Azerbaijani Culture Foundation.
At the festival in the Heydar Aliyev Palace, the International Mugham Center and Jazz Center musicians will perform, such as Joshua Redman, Kenny Garrett, Avishai Cohen, Marcus Miller, Bob James, David Sanborn and Christoph Czech.
At the same time, solo programs by known Azerbaijani artists, such as Salman Qambarov, Emil Afrasiyab, Mirjavad Jafarov and young jazz musicians will be performed.
This is the 11th in a row jazz festival in Baku. This time the festival was opened by Joshua Redman. -16D04-

Ahmet Güneştekin answered questions from Turan Information Agency a few days after the opening of his solo exhibition, Lost Alphabet, held in the 8,000-square-meter indoor halls of the Feshane Cultural Center, managed by the Istanbul Municipality. The exhibition, inaugurated by Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, will remain open until July 20.
