The Baku VIII International Festival of Art Song will be held in Baku on July 10-20, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
On 10-19 July, the Song Theatre named after Rashid Behbudov will host concerts of the guests and participants of the Festival. The concerts will start at 19:00.
During the festival, on July 12 at 17:30, an art exhibition by Alexander Barudin will be held. The exhibition will feature paintings and drawings by the famous bard, architect and artist.
On July 13 a concert of the Tbilisi Art Song Club will take place.
For the first time the festival will host a competitive concert (July 15 at 17:00), which will involve young bards from Baku, Russia and Georgia. Places (I, II or III) will not be awarded at the concert. Instead, the winners in various categories will receive prizes and honorary degrees, which will be presented at a gala concert on the closing day of the festival - 19 July at 19:00 in the Song Theater named after Behbudov.
The festival will exhibit first-run movies, art and photo exhibitions, and public art workshops. Entrance to the concerts is free. -02D-

Ahmet Güneştekin answered questions from Turan Information Agency a few days after the opening of his solo exhibition, Lost Alphabet, held in the 8,000-square-meter indoor halls of the Feshane Cultural Center, managed by the Istanbul Municipality. The exhibition, inaugurated by Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, will remain open until July 20.
