China Southern Airlines Return to Baku with Additional Set of Proposals
From July 3 China Southern Airlines will be back to the aviation market of Azerbaijan with scheduled flights on the route Baku - Urumqi - Guangzhou and back.
At today's press conference, the Deputy Director of the Urumqi branch of the company Jin Li Hong said that from 2006 to 2015 they carried out regular flights to Urumqi, but the devaluation of the manat made the business unprofitable. With the adaptation to the new realities the airline not only resumed the old program, but also added flights to the capital of Southern China – Guangzhou, popular with the local entrepreneurs.
"The flights will be operated by aircraft type Boeing 737 at the cost of the tickets for the flight Baku - Urumqi 260 euros (round trip) and Baku - Guangzhou - 280 euros. The flights will be operated twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays. Departure time from Baku is 23: 05 (local), arrival in Urumqi is at 9:40 and arrival in Guangzhou is at 21:05. Departure time from Guangzhou is 12:50, arrival in Urumqi is at 20:10 and arrival in Baku is at 21:05. The plane from Baku will fly to Urumqi and after a 2-hour stop will go to Guangzhou. We are confident in the success of this project, as the Azerbaijani tourists will have the opportunity of flying from Urumqi and Guangzhou to other cities in China, as well as to visit Bangkok, Manila and Singapore," Jin Li Hong outlined the perspectives. --17D-
