Eastern Partnership Conference �A strong economy for stronger societies� Started
Vienna / 07.12.2018 / Turan: "The business forum and the annual conference of the Eastern Partnership are a great opportunity to reveal our joint achievements to date in the framework of the Eastern Partnership and its 20 results by 2020". During the EU Eastern Partnership annual conference on "Strong economy for stronger societies - investing in people for strong growth," it was said by the European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, in his opening speech.
The conference held Vienna began its work on Friday. The event is organized by Austria as chairman of the EU Council and the European Commission.
J. Hahn noted that on this basis, the EU will promote reforms aimed at providing an appropriate business environment for small and medium-sized enterprises and creating new opportunities for young people so that they can learn, work, and fully participate in society.
Then the conference will continue in sessions where participants will be able to exchange views on best practices and share their experiences.
The conference will discuss issues of key economic and legal conditions for improving the business and investment climate in partner countries and factors contributing to the strengthening of society, and the creation of new jobs, while giving specific examples of successful policies.
During panel discussions, special attention will be paid to promoting small and medium-sized businesses and attracting foreign direct investment, creating jobs in partner countries and providing citizens with reliable employment opportunities, as well as stimulating the development of skills in demand in the labor market.
According to the organizers, these events serve as a platform for discussing further measures to strengthen economies and societies, which will help improve the well-being and living standards of citizens and thereby strengthen stability in the region.
Since 2009, since the start of the Eastern Partnership program, the EU has allocated 348 million euros, thereby supporting 70 thousand enterprises, initiating loans for companies in the amount of 1.96 billion euros and creating 28 thousand new jobs. -71D-
