JSC "Dashkesen Filizsaflashdyrma" prepares to export to Europe
During the next two months will finish the reconstruction of production processes the in Dashkesan mining plant aimed at improving the quality indicators of processed ore concentrate, as well as increasing production capacity (2 million tons per year.)
Representatives of the State Joint-Stock Company "Azerbaijan steel production complex" (AKPS) Elkhan Shakhverdiev said that the completion of the modernization, the iron content in the composition of the concentrate will be increased from 60% to 65-66%, which will produce high quality products meeting the best European standards. Necessary equipment purchased in the process of modernization is bought in Russia. Supplier is the JSC "Electric Steel Plants of Heavy Machinery."
The JSC "Dashkesen Filizsaflashdyrma" (a structural unit AKPS) in 2014 bought dump trucks "BelAZ" carrying capacity of 45 and 140 tons, excavators and bulldozers "Komatsu" and "Volvo", which can reduce the cost of production of iron ore by 20% and increase the production efficiency.
On the implementation of these and other works on the reconstruction of Dashkesan mining dressing plant was spent about 15 million manat as a long-term leases, loans and equity of the Close JSC.
In 2014, world prices for iron ore concentrate fell by 2.5 times from $146 to $63 per ton (agency Platts). The sharp drop in prices on the world market has limited export revenues for iron ore concentrate. According to the State Customs Committee, in 2014 the export of iron ore decreased by 2 times and amounted to 73.300 tons. However, JSC "AKPS" since June 2014 restored production at the factory, and later this year plans to increase the scale of production and exports.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in January of this year, production of iron ore concentrate in Azerbaijan amounted to only 800 tons, which is 94.3% less than in the same period last year. Over the past two years, iron ore production decreased at a faster pace: in 2013 it was produced 141.400 tons
(- 31.8%), in 2014 - 91.400 tons. Part of the production, as a component of cement raw materials, is sold on the territory of Azerbaijan.
According to the State Customs Committee, in 2014 the export of iron ore decreased by 2 times and amounted to 73.300 tons, including: Panama – 50,000 tons ($ 2 million. 517,200), and Georgia - 23.300 tons ($1 million 725,000.) 08B

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
