Mercedes - Leader in Ranking of Popular Cars in Azerbaijan
The State Statistics Committee released information about the dynamics of the number of passenger car brands in recent years, according to which, nearly all car manufacturers have reduced their sales in Azerbaijan.
In 2014 the total number of cars in the country increased by 51,318 units. This includes not only direct delivery from the manufacturer, but also import of cars of the former use.
Despite the significant decline, the Korean automobile concerns Hyundai and KIA own one-fifth of the import of cars to Azerbaijan in 2014. During the year the car park added 6,110 Hyundai and 3,624 KIA. As of January 1 this year, in Azerbaijan, there were cars Hyundai - 57,961 and KIA - 29,059 units.
According to the SSC, in 2014, as in previous years, the most popular car was Mercedes, which added 11,767 units. The presence of Japanese cars Toyota and Nissan increased, respectively, by 5,034 and 3,511 units.
According to the number of deliveries in 2014, the leaders were Opel – 2,875, Wolkswagen – 1,626, BMW – 1,300 and others. --08B-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
