Obligatory premium of AtaSigorta almost equal to the voluntary
Insurance company AtaSigorta gathered for last year 10,654,680 manats of premiums for all types of insurance, which is almost double the same period in 2011 (5,440,910 manat).
It is a rare case - the figure corresponds to the official report of State Insurance Supervision Service, while normally provided are approximate figures - on the basis of contracts.
Voluntary premiums totaled 6.4 million manat. Turan was told in the company consistently good level of collection of premiums was made in Hull car insurance - 2,750,960 manats. This allowed to push for second place voluntary health insurance (VHI) with 1,356,730 AZN premiums.
Property insurance against fire and other risks received 1.13 million manat, insurance against accidents and illnesses got 720,080 manat, insurance of aircraft collected 88,420 manat, cargo insurance collected 29,550 manat, and insurance of other property types got 91,090 manat.
Liability insurance in the aggregate collected 231,670 manat, of which 44,270 manat was liability insurance of vehicle owners, 67,290 manat - the responsibility of employers, and 120,130 manat - general civil liability. 21,320 manat was obtained from insurance for foreign travel.
Compulsory insurance collected 4.25 million manat (9 times more than last year).
Payment of the company's insurance claims totaled 2,711,420 manat (AZN 630,000 more than in 2011), of which 2.37 million manat was on voluntary positions.
Thus, payments made on VHI was 1,698,980 manat, on road accidents and major problems - 580,560 manat, on insurance of accidents - 45,880 manat. Details are in the table.
AtaSigorta has acted on the local insurance market since the fall of 2004.
The sole shareholder of the company is the group of investment companies AtaHolding.
The authorized capital of the company after the placement of the November issue is 5.6 mln AZN. The company has an affiliate in Baku and provides services on 26 types of insurance. - 17D-
