VHI Remains Priority for A Group
The main focus of the insurance company A Group this year will be voluntary health insurance (VHI), as before.
According to the company's chairman of the Board Anar Bayramov, at the end of last year, premiums in this segment grew by 20%, while the average market growth was 8%. In particular, significant increase was observed in the corporate segment VHI. There is growth in the property insurance segment (+ 28%), but the positive trend in the field of road (Hull) insurance has not yet justified itself in view of the tightening of credit policy by the Central Bank of AR, which led to a decline in car sales.
Responding to a question about why the payout percentage is much higher than the market in general, he said that such a situation is related to the specific of VHI - the main segment of the company. "Significant are main indicators - the total capital of the company reaches 7.5 million manat and the share capital - 7 million 308.25 thousand manat. This year we're going to send half of last year's profit (total 2.5 million AZN) to regular increase in the authorized capital," he said.
Recall last year the company's premiums amounted to 12.5 million manat (+ 12% by the end of 2013).
JSC A Group has been operating in the insurance market since 1996, providing services for 14 types of voluntary insurance. --17D-
