With the Internet, the situation is the same as before the New Year
Just after the New Year Azerbaijan rose slightly in terms of the optimum speed of traffic in the world "league table" (117 instead of 118). This is not the best result, and the speed was reduced from 3.60 Mbit / s to 3.57 Mbit / s.
Nearest neighbors in the table are Ecuador (line above) and Bhutan (line below). Ghana, Barbados, Brunei, and Uganda are also higher in rank.
As the official portal of the company Ookla (http://www.netindex.com/download/2,110/Azerbaijan), this is due to the fact that the speed of the Internet on them, not to mention the neighboring countries, "went to White Castle." For comparison, in Russia (24th position) the average is 18.07, in Georgia - 12.84 (41-position), Armenia (42nd position) - 12.62 Mb / s with a than two-fold quality improvement.
Local Internet quality index is far from the 58 products that describe the site (it was 54).
Indicator center of the capital on incoming traffic is 3.78 Mbit / s. On the periphery of Baku the rate is 2.96 Mbit / s, in Masazir - 3.81 in Sumgayit - 2.57 Mb / s.
Earlier there were data on Jalilabad, Sheki, and Goychay, now these points are no longer available on the map of virtual services.
Chosen for the experiment were 314 thousand 900 of 2.47 million active unique IP-addresses. The study is based on the statistics of 20 local Internet service providers and telecom operators, mainly in Baku. For this reason, we turn to the capital providers in the Reference list monitoring.
Among them in the first place CityNet c 24,90 Mbit / s. After him are AZERTELECOM to 16.71 Mbit / s and Eurosel LLC from 8.65 Mbit / s. These two providers offer services throughout the country, but leaving the capital, their speed decreases. Completing the table Baktelekom from 2.55 Mbit / s and TransEuroCom LLC from 1.96 Mbit / s. - 17D-
