Loukoster Pobeda will suspend flights to Armenia
Moscow/06.08.19/Turan: Low-coster "Pobeda" will not suspend flights from Moscow to Gyumri (Armenia) if it receives airport guarantees to stop the facts of fuel under-filling and to compensate for the cost of lost jet fuel.
"Filling fuel is a serious security risk. "Pobeda" will continue to fly to Gyumri only if it receives clear guarantees from the airport and compensation for the cost of underfuel. This is not the case at the moment," TASS quoted a representative of the airline.
It confirmed that the company decided to suspend flights to Gyumri in the winter season.
In turn, ARMENPRESS agency, citing the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia, reported that the problem was resolved. Currently "Pobeda" operates 10 flights a week from Moscow to Gyumri (from there transportation to Yerevan is offered), seven flights a week were planned in the winter season.
Meanwhile, a number of observers regard the cessation of flights as another step in Moscow"s pressure on the government of Nikol Pashinyan.-02D-
