Baku/07.02.21/Turan: On February 6, 2121, the first open military incident occurred in relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
A stand with the inscription "Welcome to Azerbaijan" installed on the side of the road Gafan-Goris, passing through the territory of Azerbaijan, was fired from the Armenian side, Armenian sources report.
In response, the Azerbaijani military moved towards the Armenians, but the Russian military moved forward, not allowing the Azerbaijanis to enter the Armenian territory. A Russian armored personnel carrier drove towards the Azerbaijani army and stopped.

President Ilham Aliyev approved the Azerbaijani-Russian intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in transit cargo transportation along the "North-South" international transport corridor (ITC) on February 11, 2025.
