Azerbaijani CEC announced preliminary results of the presidential elections (UPDATED)
Baku/10.10.13/Turan : CEC chairman Mazahir Panahov on the night of October 10 announced the preliminary results of the presidential election from 72 percent ( 3947 ) of polling stations.
According to him, by the vote the leader is incumbent President Ilham Aliyev . He was voted for by 84.73 percent of voters ( 2,039,127 persons) who took part in the vote .
In second place is the candidate of the opposition council of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF ) Jamil Gasanli, who scored 5.27 % of the vote ( 148,400 people).
This is followed by the leader of Umid (Hope) Iqbal Aghazadeh - 2.32% ( 65,469 votes) , the chairman of the Popular Front of United Azerbaijan Gudret Gasanguliev - 2.09 % (58 972) , self-promoted Zahid Orudzh - 1.48 % ( 41,638 ) , the chairman of the Justice party Ilyas Ismailov - 1.10 % (30 969) , the chairman of the Social Democratic party of Azerbaijan Araz Alizadeh - 0.88 % ( 24746 ) , the leader of the Movement of National Revival Faraj Guliyev - 0.87 % (24 410) , the head of the party Modern Musavat Hafiz Hajiyev - 0.66 % ( 18,582 ), and the head of the Azerbaijan Democratic Party Sardar Mammadov (Jalaloglu ) - 0.63 % (17 705) .
There was a turnout of 3,720,643 voters, or 72.31 percent of their total .
According to Panahov , "serious violations of the law that could affect not only the overall results of the election, but the results in one area were not fixed ."
Recall that the candidate of NCDF Gasanli said that the scale of violations of the law questioned the legitimacy of the election .

According to the preliminary data of the CEC based on the processed information from the majority of polling stations for the presidential election on October 9, leading is the incumbent President Ilham Aliyev who has received about 85 percent of the vote for. The opposition candidate Jamil Gasanli received about 4 percent of the votes. The rest of the votes were distributed among eight candidates.
The total turnout was 3720643 people, or 72.31% of the voters. -06D -
