General Prosecutor Office: Sevinj Babayeva was hid in Turkey by people of Gular Ahmedova
Investigation of deaths of Sevinj Babayeva in Turkey, partner of Gular Ahmedova , who was involved in the video on selling seats to the parliament of Azerbaijan, confirmed the involvement of former deputy Gular Ahmedova in her escape from Azerbaijan.
According to the press service of the General Prosecutor Office, after Elshad Abdullayev published video on September 25, the next day at the proposal of Gular Ahmedova, Babayeva departed early in the morning at 05:57 from Baku to Istanbul. There she was met by Ahmedova’s friend, Selcuk Aglayan, a Turkish citizen.
First he placed Babayeva at the hotel and registered on his own name; then he took her to the apartment which he rented. Aglayan introduced Babayeva as "Maryam Solmaz."
During her stay in Turkey, Babayeva suffered from heartache, and on November 16 she was examined in the clinic "Medical Faculty Jarrah Pasha."
On December 26 Babayeva was taken to the hospital Esenyurd. Her diagnosis was heart failure. Doctors transferred her to a specialized clinic "Medicana" to the intensive care ward, where she died at 19:15.
In both clinics Babayeva was placed under the name "Maryam Solmaz."
On December 29 Babayeva corpse was brought to Baku and a second forensic examination was made. Investigation is ongoing to establish the extent of Ahmedova’s and her family’s participation in hiding Babayeva in Turkey, as well as other circumstances.
After the representatives of law enforcement agencies returned from Turkey, and the results of forensic examination were received from Turkey, the public will be provided with additional information, read the report of the General Prosecutor Office. —06D-
