Karabakh separatists say they will not agree to concessions
Yerevan / 12.04.16 / Turan-ArmInfo: The concessions in the Karabakh issue cannot be one-sided, said Ashot Ghulyan, "speaker of parliament" of Karabakh, in an interview with radio "Freedom". "I believe that Azerbaijan's actions during this period lead to the opposite effect, since Azerbaijan demonstrates the destructive policy of escalation of the situation. And I think that not only in Karabakh but also in Armenia and the Diaspora in general, the position on the settlement of the Karabakh problem has aggravated," he said.
Being asked whether the Karabakh party is ready to make concessions to solve the conflict, Gulian said: "We cannot afford to talk about some concessions, with a constant threat around us."
The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in Baku that the peace agreement should provide for the release of the regions around Karabakh and the simultaneous determination of Karabakh's status. Baku agrees with that, but Armenians do not agree, and demand to provide independence of Karabakh. -02D-
