Seyidov refutes the reports about resignation from the post of head of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE
Samed Seyidov , a Chairman of the Milli Mejlis on Foreign Relations, has denied reports on his dismissal from the post of head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the PACE. The reason for the rumors became his absence at the recent PACE session, which discussed two important documents related to the Karabakh conflict.
A key report by the British MP Robert Walter on the escalation of tension in the Nagorno-Karabakh and other occupied territories was defeated by the MPs. Another resolution condemning Armenia for the deprivation of the residents of the front regions of the water from the Sarsang water reservoir was maintained.
"The information about my release from the post of head of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE is absolutely wrong," Seyidov told reporters. "My non-participation in the work of the PACE winter session related to the problems of my health. I was replaced at the session by Vusal Huseynov , the deputy chairman delegation," said Seyidov.-06D—
