The Electoral Bloc "Movement" is established
Baku / 25.12.19 / Turan: A group of civil society activists announced today the creation of the “Movement Electoral Bloc.”
It united 18 candidates for parliamentary elections on February 9.
Young people are united by the desire to see Azerbaijan as a rule of law, where freedom of expression and human rights are valued, fair elections are held, independent and fair courts function, the block program said.
Activists decided to block in order to attract as many voters as possible and in particular young people.
The Bloc included: NİDA activists Ulvi Hasanli, Turgut Gambar, Ilkin Rustamzade, Elgiz Gahraman, former head of the Majlis of the REAL party Azer Gasimli, blogger Mehman Huseynov, social activist Rabiya Mammadova, leader of the D18 movement Ruslan Izzetli, lawyer Fariz Samdli Namazli drazimazlamli .
It should be noted that the Union of Real Republicans block was previously announced, which included leaders of the REAL party and a number of independent candidates.

On November 26, the Baku Court of Appeals reviewed the appeal of human rights defender Anar Mammadli, who contested the extension of his detention. Arrested economist Fazil Gasimov has reportedly faced pressure after protesting the interruption of a phone call with his family on November 16. "The phone call was cut off, and Fazil demanded that the connection be restored. Then, Jalal Alizadeh, a detention center officer, along with his colleagues, forcibly removed Fazil from the phone room in the medical unit of the facility, tearing his jacket and dragging him across the floor before throwing him into a cell.
