The issues of purchase of "Embraer" by Azerbaijan
Baku / 15.11.17 / Turan: Azerbaijan and Brazil intend to deepen relations, announced today in Baku after the negotiations between the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Brazil - Elmar Mammadyarov and Aloyzio Nunez Ferreira.
In the first half of 2017 the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $ 160 million, which, of course, does not correspond to the potential of cooperation, Mammadyarov said. According to him, the parties intend to increase trade and economic cooperation. During the meeting, discussions were held around the Karabakh settlement. In 1993, when four resolutions on the conflict were adopted, Brazil was a member of the UN Security Council. These resolutions remain unfulfilled.
The parties agreed next year to conduct political and economic consultations in Baku, and Brasilia.
"In April next year, the meeting of the Non-Accession Movement at the ministerial level will be held in Azerbaijan. Brazil is invited to this meeting.
Today, an agreement on cooperation with the corresponding university of Brazil was signed at the University of ADA, "Mammadyarov said. Ferreira expressed support for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
"We want the negotiations within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group to be effective for restoring peace," he said.
According to him, Brazil's position on the violation of sovereignty is based on a long-term policy based on peace, security, dialogue, respect for international law and territorial integrity.
The Brazilian minister also noted the need to create a legal framework for deepening bilateral relations, which will give impetus to expanding contacts between business circles.
"We exchanged information in the field of customs and taxes. In Azerbaijan, there are many companies that could participate in investment programs in Brazil. Last year, a bilateral economic commission was established. In March, the Azerbaijani delegation will step down to Brazil, "Ferreira said.
During the meeting, issues of procurement of "Embraer" aircraft in Brazil, export-import of flowers, tea and other goods were discussed. -03C06-
