Unauthorized Place of Prayers Found
Baku / 08.02.18 / Turan: In the territory of the Khazar district of the capital, the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations discovered a place for prayer (namaz) not provided by law.
According to the committee's information, they received information about violations of the rules of religious structures. To verify information on February 7, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Security Service and local executive authorities conducted an inspection of the illegal place for prayers on the territory of the state farm for the production of milk Hovsan in the settlement of Bina, Khazar district.
During the inspection, violations of the relevant articles of the law "On Freedom of Religion" were revealed.
Valeh Bashirov, who conducted illegal religious rituals and violated the Code of Administrative Offenses, was found guilty of violating the procedures for organizing religious events established by law (article 515.0.2), a protocol was drawn up and the case was sent to court.
At the end of 2016 and in April 2017, the Milli Mejlis amended the law "On Freedom of Religion", as well as in the Criminal Code and the Code of Administrative Offenses.
After these changes, the issue of illegal religious events came into force. -0--
