The authorities are not interested in disclosing the murder of Elmar Huseynov
Azerbaijani public does not expect from the current government and law enforcement agencies the disclosure of motives for the murder Elmar Huseynov, the editor of the magazine "Monitor," said in an interview with "Objective TV" Shahbaz Khuduoglu, co-founder of the Initiative Group for the investigation of this crime, the director of the publishing house "Qanun".
He reminded that at the beginning of March 2005, a group of investigators that arrived in Baku from Turkey actually uncovered the crime on the basis of telephone conversations of suspects. The Head of the Turkish detectives said their function is to help local investigators and expressed confidence that the Azerbaijani colleagues unveil the results of the investigation. It did not happen.
The Ministry of National Security immediately classified the investigation process, and the public tossed dubious versions of involvement of Georgian citizens in the murder, and their alleged search through Interpol.
Georgian law enforcement agencies reported that information from the Prosecutor Office of Azerbaijan did not give grounds to being the suspects to trial and extradited to Baku.
According to Khuduoglu, Elmar could be murdered by forces interested in destabilizing the social and political situation on the eve of parliamentary elections, or high-ranking officials who want to take revenge on the journalist for criticism.
In both cases we are dealing with a "strong protection", so it takes time to get to a particular customer, he said.
You can mention a number of "resonance" assassinations and murders, which do not have any result. Immediately following Elmar’s murder, Bahaddin Gaziyev, the chief editor of the newspaper "Bizim Yol" , was kidnapped and nearly killed; correspondents of "Azadlig" Fikret Huseynli and Agil Khalil wre beaten, and the General Aviation, Rayil Rzayev, was killed, etc.
All these crimes were ordered. Rather than investigate and inform the public, the authorities wait for another attempt, and the information about the previous offense is forgotten.
During the trial of the gang leader, the Interior Ministry Colonel, Haji Mammadov, it became clear that the authorities and the criminal syndicate have been intertwined. However, there were only allegations.
Now the videos from Elshad Abdullayev, the former rector of the International University clearly demonstrate extensive network of criminals in uniform of the Interior Ministry, National Security Ministry, State Security Service.
It turns out that anyone in the country can be subjected to psychological and physical pressure, including their relatives and friends. This pressure will increase as we approach the presidential election, said Khuduoglu. -17D-
